Mutual funds are used as the primary investment vehicle for WASI retirement accounts. They provide the account holder with the ability to purchase a basket of securities in the stock market and spread the risks associated with selecting individual stocks or bonds. By owning different types of mutual funds, the investor can achieve a balanced portfolio with far less invested than would be required by owning stocks or bonds in a number of different companies.
A broad range of individual funds can be selected from many different fund families. WASI managed retirement accounts may utilize our fund recommendations or allow you to choose your own funds, based on our mutual strategies. Fund families that we currently utilize include, but are not limited to:
| American Century Funds |
Calvert Funds |
Century Funds |
| CGM Funds | Citizens Funds | Clipper Funds |
| Dodge & Cox Funds | Domini Funds | Dreyfus Funds |
| Fairholme Funds | Fidelity Funds | First Hand Funds |
| Invesco Funds | Janus Funds | Legg Mason Funds |
| Longleaf Funds | Mairs & Powers Funds | Neuberger Berman |
